To all Metro Users: 40th Annual Metro Users Conference 2008
The members of the Executive Board invite you to register for our 40th annual Metro Users Group Conference. The 2008 conference will be held at the Hilton Orange County / Costa Mesa California Hotel. (714-540-7000)
The conference will be held from Saturday February 23rd through Wednesday February 27, 2008. Our continued success is built upon the participation of the many users around the country. Our future success is dependent on your ongoing support and involvement with the Metro Users conference. The Metro Users Conference will provide an atmosphere for training, knowledge sharing, and industry networking, which promises to improve productivity and reliability of your Goss equipment.
Many of the recent initiatives and opportunities that have been introduced to our industry will be discussed. Web width reductions to 48" and below, new predictive and preventative maintenance procedures, revenue enhancing opportunities, and cost saving ideas. This is a program that will provide exceptional value to all participants who attend and their respective employers.
Metro Users newspaper delegates and participating vendors can now register On-Line for the 2008 conference and Hilton hotel reservations. The new on-line registration will streamline the process for registration and reduce the cost to organize the conference. Every effort is being made to keep the conference affordable for all delegates and vendors. Newspapers are already benefiting with cost reductions as the annual membership dues of $125 was eliminated this year. There will be a "Conference Registration" link posted on the Metro User web site home page. www.metrousers.com The early registration price of $175 per delegate will be available until January 22, 2008. Thereafter the normal registration fee is $200 per delegate. Each registered delegate is entitled to the following:
- Access to all conference training seminars and equipment sessions
- Access to over 45 Goss International engineers and technicians.
- Displays of over 70 industry suppliers
- Five meals
- Four evening hosted receptions
- 40th Anniversary Conference gift
The Metro Users Board and Hilton management have agreed to a discounted room rate of $169 and additional hotel amenities for guests attending the Metro User conference. This room rate is guaranteed until January 22, 2008. The Metro Users board would urge everyone to reserve your rooms at the Orange County Hilton to help us meet our room block commitment. Hotel guests registered with Metro Users will enjoy the following amenities:
- Complimentary shuttle to and from Orange County airport
- Discounted self parking - $6 per day - (normally $16)
- Complimentary Health and Fitness center access
- Complimentary Resort services
- Free Fax
An optional golf outing has been scheduled for Saturday February 23rd at the Coyote Hills Golf Course. Registration for golf will be processed manually with a form easily downloaded from the Metro Users website. The form and payment must be faxed or mailed no later than February 11th to participate in the golf tournament. Space for golf is limited and is reserved on a first come first serve basis.
